Delete your GiftBanana account

You can delete your GiftBanana account yourself in under a minute, from the app or from this website, and it takes everything with it. This page is also the place to come if you no longer have the app installed.

From the app or the website

• Sign in, then open your profile (your name at the top of Your lists).
• Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
• Type DELETE to confirm. That's it - there is no waiting period and no email to reply to.

Without signing in

If you can't sign in, email hello@giftbanana.co from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm it's really you and delete the account, normally within 7 days.

What gets deleted

Your profile (name, email, password), every list and wish on it, your notes and "About you" text, reservations guests made on your lists, your reminder notification tokens, and your seat in any Secret Santa draw. Your shared links stop working immediately. This can't be undone. The only things that remain are anonymous counts that never identified you in the first place - see the privacy policy for the full picture.

If you never had an account

Gifters and Secret Santa participants don't need accounts, so there may be nothing to delete. A gift you reserved can be released from the same device; a Secret Santa seat can be removed with the "not you?" link in any email we sent you, or by asking the organiser. Anything else, email us.
